Ideas Competition

Science Centre “Salineinsel Halle (Saale)”

The City of Halle and the foundation for culture Hohenmölsen have initiiated this ideas competion at the “Salineinsel” in Halle. Suggestions regarding the exhibitional programme and its spacial realization at the saline area are much appreciated. This ideas competition adresses mainly young scientists and interior designers that should apply as teams. Eligible are all students and alumni of Thuringia, Saxony-Anhalt and Saxony. An impartial jury constisting of members form science, economy and architects will evaluate the works. There are different prizes to be won, worth more than 5000 Euro.

Building a Business at “Weinberg Campus”

Univations - The Academic Network for Start-ups

Univations, the academic network for start-ups in Saxony-Anhalt supports scientific innovation, qualification and further education of academics starting up a business. It also promotes the transfer of knowledge and technology. The project’s aim is the support of academic start-ups from the participating colleges: Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg, Burg Giebichenstein Hochschule für Kunst und Design Halle, Hochschule Merseburg (FH), Hochschule Anhalt (FH). Through this collaboration the existing achievement potentials and resources should be linked efficiently and synergically.

Scidea – Innovative Foundations out of Science

Scidea is a third-party funded project of the MLU, initiated to intensify the collaboration between companies and colleges in the region’s most innovative domains as well as to commercialize and utilize innovative ideas produced by the sciences. A strenghtening of the region’s economy shall be achieved through the concerted support of research-intensive company foundations. Via a five-stage model scidea supports scientists and companies partially or throughout the whole process of their cooperative efforts: from the generation of ideas and their evaluation sur their testing and realization to foundation and market entry. The region’s highly developed innovation fields like renewable energy, automotive engineering, life sciences, bio-nano technology, advanced materials and creative economics are especially in focus, for they are the counterpart to the excellent sciences of the regional colleges.

The Institute for Innovation and  Entrepreneurship

The institute for innovation and  entrepreneurship at the MLU is to be found at the technology park “Weinberg Campus” in Halle. Its central aim is the utilization of research results through regional businesses. In association with the MLU, especially with the technology orientated sciences and extra-faculty reseach institutes like Fraunhofer, Max-Planck, Helmholtz and the Leibniz institute as well as young businesses with academic background it supplies high efficiency in task fulfilment and integration in regional networks concerned with technology, innovation and business start-ups.

Competition for pupils

Pupil’s business plan “futurego. Sachsen-Anhalt”

Futurego.Sachsen-Anhalt is the business plan competition for pupils between 16 and 21 years of age.  The projects aim is to deliver insights into practical aspects of business administration to the pupils of Saxony-Anhalt through the simulation of start-up business. In the two-stage competition the participants should work out an idea into a business plan.

Services:

• Pupils are delivered practical insights into business administration through  individual coachings, managemant games and workshops
• Support in elaboration of ideas, the participation in the competition and the foundation of pupil’s businesses

Futurego. Sachsen-Anhalt is coordinated by the MLU and funded by the state of Saxony-Anhalt and the social capital of the European Union.
