Application for Studienkolleg Halle

If necessary, the Landesstudienkolleg Sachsen-Anhalt, dep. Halle (short: Landesstudienkolleg Halle) prepares prospective students for their university studies in Germany with a 2 semester subject course or a 1 semester language course (DSH). Please check your qualification with the help of uni-assist's Check university admission   .

Courses

Depending on your desired field of study, you can be admitted to one of the following preparation courses:

  • M course: for medical and biological degree programmes
  • T course: for technical and mathematical degree programmes
  • W course: for economics programmes
  • S/G course: for languages, humanities and art programmes
  • DSH course: German course (1 semester)

Please apply for the respective preparation course directly via uni-assist.    Before applying, please inform with the help of uni-assist's check university admission    whether your certificates result in a subject restriction. Applications for the wrong course cannot be taken into account.

An application directly at the Landesstudienkolleg Halle is still not possible.

Language Requirements

In order to qualify for an invitation to the entrance test for a preparation course or DSH course, a German language certificate level B2 (acc. to Common European Frame Reference of Languages   ) is the required minimum. The certificate must cover all 4 testing parts (listening, reading, speaking, writing). Confirmations of attendance are not sufficient.

Important: This also applies if you intend to study an English Bachelor's programme.

In order to qualify for the external DSH exam, a German language certificate level C1 is required.

Entrance Test

In order to get a place in the desired course, you must take the Studienkolleg entrance test in advance. The entrance test will take place in Halle in late January (for summer term) and early/Mid-August (for winter term). An online attendance is not possible. The courses will start a week later.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

In order to receive a timely invitation to the entrance test, we strongly recommend to apply via uni-assist    as early as possible (by mid-December at the latest for summer semester or mid-June for winter semester)! Please inform yourself BEFORE applying about the waiting times for a study visa in your country. The processing times at uni-assist usually take 2-4 weeks.

Deferment of admissions

If you cannot attend the entrance test in time or if you did not get a seat at Landesstudienkolleg Halle after attendance, please contact us until the following deadlines to enquire about a possible deferment/ extension of your admission:

30 September for winter semester
31 March for summer semester
